Zoe Foster-Blake has posted her first photo with one-week-old Rudy and our hearts are melting!
In the new snap, the mum-of-two adoringly looks down on Rudy while jokingly making a ‘pact’ with her daughter.
“Just made a very intense eye-to-eye pact that she definitely won't do any of the shit I did when I was a teenage girl. Phew! Glad that's sorted," she wrote alongside the photo.
Her and Hamish Blake's unique choice of moniker 'Rudy' is after Zoe's mother, Gertrude. Earlier this week, Hamish appeared on Carrie Bickmore and Tommy Little's radio show for a catch up, where he revealed the sentimental meaning behind the name.
"It's related to Gertrude, which is actually Zoë's Mum's name, Gertie."
Hamish also shared that since Rudy was born he hasn't been able to get close to her.
"She’s lovely, and I enjoy looking at her from a distance or behind a surgical mask, but you’re right now talking to a guy with pink eye and a lot of stuff going on," he said.
"Everyone’s saying ‘Enjoy the baby bubble, enjoy the baby bubble’ — I’m in a Hazmat bubble! I have to go through the full ebola washdown before I can get near my child."
Hamish also happily announced that both mother and baby are doing well, and he couldn’t have been more proud for his wife.
“Champion. Champion birth. Inspirational. Ultimate mum,” he said.
