I’ve always enjoyed planning outfits for fashion week - It’s the perfect time to dress up and sartorially be the best version of yourself. Working in fashion brings a lot of flexibility with what is ‘acceptable’ to wear to work. Although with most of my time consisting of running around on appointments, and lugging suitcases of clothes to shoots – I don’t often wear my best outfits to work.
Fashion week, is the time.
And so, my first point of call was my Sandro blazer and pant suit. Given the warm weather, I’ll most likely wear the pants with a white tee, Zara two-tone kitten heels and my favourite bag (purely made out of pearls).
Now, what to wear on a day when it’s too hot to function but still need to look decent running from show to show? This lightweight Ganni gingham wrap dress, of course. I’ll most likely wear this back with little Le Specs cat eye frames and my go-to Staud bucket bag.
For those night events when a little extra effort is not only required, but welcomed...I’ll start with these Lele Sadoughi pearl cluster earrings that will happily perch upon this Shrimps floral lace frock.
In any given case, I’ve always taken delight in pieces that are bold, bright and busy. Which is why I refuse to pack my trusty vintage jeans. Because after all – if you can’t go all out at fashion week, when can you?
