Just one look at her lifestyle blog will tell you Gwyneth Paltrow is the go-to girl for weird wellness fads. From a 24-carat gold dildo to ‘spirit truffles,’ her Goop-spruiked goodies range from being kinda comical to just downright bizarre. But contrary to what you’re probably thinking when it comes to her daily diet she’s actually pretty low-key (aside from her strict veganism, that is.)
On a recent episode of The Goop Podcast, the mum-of-two explained that she starts the day with a simple smoothie. In 2016, she shared the recipe, revealing the “snack” includes almond milk, coconut oil, vanilla mushroom protein powder and Moon Juice dust (which is packed with traditional Chinese herbs and promises to “get you glowing from the inside, out.”)
Later, she enjoys a “pretty healthy lunch” made up of salad and a protein. In the past, her lunch bowls of choice (courtesy of the site) have included tuna and tomato, or black bean, corn and avocado. Some see brown rice and quinoa as a base, while others use greens.
But dinner time is when she really lets loose, with the actress claiming she has “whatever I want" - while still ensuring to avoid foods that are highly-processed or contain high-fructose corn syrup (coz, health.) According to posts she’s previously written for Goop, these cravings are likely to lean towards roast chicken and potatoes or a farmer’s market salad.
And finally, when it comes to cleanses, she’s defs not a fan: “Only if I’m guinea pigging something for the website, or I try to do one good cleanse a year,” she said on the podcast.
Yup, clearly it ain’t sustainable to solely survive on sex dust. God, we love you, Gwyn.
