Vanessa Hudgens, former Wildcat and current #fitspo, has revealed the workout she performs twice-daily in order to get that enviable bod.
The actress, who had to gain 20lbs to play a runaway teen in Gimme Shelter, has revealed that she relied on two SoulCycle classes per day to lose weight and get back into shape.
“Put me on a bike in a room with loud music, and I’m happy,” Hudgens has told Women’s Health. “It’s like dancing without the stress of worrying if you look good.”
Nowadays, Hudgens goes to SoulCycle whenever she can squeeze it into her schedule, but revealed that she always makes time for yoga.
“I don’t consider it fitness,” she says. “It’s more like therapy for me.”
As for what she eats to keep her body lean, Vanessa revealed she's found a plan that works best for her own body.
“High fats and no carbs,” she says. “When I ate carbs, I would get that dip in the afternoon where I felt really sluggish. When I’m off them, my energy stays consistent throughout the day. Since I got back to eating like this the last month or so, I’ve lost 10 lbs. That’s a lot for my [5’1”] height.”
To get in her daily fats, Hudgens eats a whole avocado every day.
“If I’m not getting enough [fat], my body holds on to calories,” she says. “We’ve been trained to think that fats are bad, but they’re so good—a source of energy and sustenance that keeps you going through the day. That’s the only way I can not eat carbs.”
