The Veronicas Respond To Being Removed From Flight By Police On Sunday
The musicians were reportedly labelled a “security risk”
Sisters Jess and Lisa Origliasso of The Veronicas were removed from a flight from Sydney to Brisbane by the Australian Federal Police on Sunday in an incident the singers are saying was "incredibly intimidating and confusing."
The flight, which was scheduled to depart at 10 am, was delayed for 40-minutes by the situation, which a passenger said was due to the sisters refusing to put their luggage in the overhead compartment. They were “being obstructive and not following instructions,” the onlooker, who wanted to be known only as Greg, told The Courier Mail.
However, in a statement released to Instagram, Jess and Lisa said that the event "escalated without any explanation from crew or cabin staff" and that "The details reported are false and in conflict with video recorded during this event, and witness accounts from the flight."

The sisters went on to say they are pursuing legal action.
Qantas released a statement confirming that two people on flight QF516 were removed from the flight due to refusing to follow crew instructions. “After boarding, two passengers refused to follow crew instructions and were offloaded,” the statement reads.
