Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have confirmed the news of their engagement via an Instagram post on the official Kensington Royal account.
The couple shared the happy news with the world today that they are engaged, and are due to be wed in the Spring of 2018.
Along with well wishes from the fans, come messages of congratulations from the Royal Family, as well as Meghan's family.
Prince William and Kate Middleton shared an official statement, claiming their excitement at the news.
According to a tweet from Kensington Palace: "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge said of the engagement: 'We are very excited for Harry and Meghan. It has been wonderful getting to know Meghan and to see how happy she and Harry are together.'"
Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip also shared congratulations via a public statement.
"The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh are delighted for the couple and wish them every happiness," a statement read.
Meanwhile, Prince Charles was first to share the news of his son's engagement, releasing the initial announcement in an official statement on Twitter.
A statement was also shared on behalf of Meghan's parents, Mr. Thomas Markle and Doria Ragland, who wished the couple "a lifetime of happiness."
"We are incredibly happy for Meghan and Harry," their statement read. "Our daughter has always been a kind and loving person. To see her union with Harry, who shares the same qualities, is a source of great joy for us as parents. We wish them a lifetime of happiness and are very excited for their future together."
