Time and time again, we sing the praises of Carrie Bradshaw and her eternally lust-worthy wardrobe, filled with countless Fendi baguettes and Prada shirts. But, while the early 90s' style icon has long reigned supreme as TV's most stylish character - there's another who could be seen as her modern rival.
When Ryan Murphy - the creator behind Glee and American Horror Story - dropped The Politician on Netflix, we were immediately hooked by its exceptionally well-written satire of current politics. But, it was Bohemian Rhapsody star Lucy Boynton's portrayal as glitzy (and overly determined) high-schooler Astrid Sloan that really had us gripped.
Leaving her breezy lifestyle and trust fund behind in New York City, Astrid heads to Santa Barbara with her Gucci blouses, Chanel handbags, Louis Vuitton boots and electric coloured tights in tow. And while her wardrobe could be seen as inspired by fellow fashion icon Blair Waldorf, it's her affinity for designer finds mixed with a vintage flair that really has the makings of a modern Bradshaw.
When Astrid returns to New York - the city where Bradshaw famously resided - costume designer Claire Parkinson admitted she could let Astrid's fashion sensibilities thrive.
