A Star Is Born's Lady Gaga has pulled out all the stops with a jaw-dropping gown by Alexander McQueen at the Oscars red carpet.
After a series of show-stopping looks during this year's awards show run, Lady Gaga continued this streak with her Oscars gown.
Opting for an Alexander McQueen black gown with gloves, Gaga went for a bold white updo to finish off the beauty look. But it was her $41 million Tiffany & Co necklace which really stopped us in our tracks. Last worn by Audrey Hepburn in 1962, the necklace is a tribute to her muse for the evening, Holly Golightly.
There's a lot to celebrate for Gaga as her film A Star Is Born is nominated for eight categories including Best Picture, Best Lead Actor, Best Lead Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Sound Mixing and Best Original Song. If Gaga wins the gold statue, she will be the first actress to win an Oscar for a performance in A Star Is Born (there have been three re-makes in total).
There's more to look forward from the pop star as she is set to perform a duet with co-star Bradley Cooper of their hit song 'Shallow' (which is nominated for a Best Original Song).
If their surprise performance at Gaga's Enigma residency show in Las Vegas is anything to go by, we're in for a treat at tonight's ceremony. Cooper also hinted their Oscars performance may be unlike any other. He said to Variety, "I started texting her the whole pitch of how we should do it. So we'll see. There might be a cool, unorthodox way we could perform it."
