Prepare for a new wave in beauty though, as TikTok has just proven our newest beauty obsessions are coming straight from the video platform.
TikTok user @kaelynwhitee posted a split-screen video of her skin, showing its state before and after discovering The Ordinary’s AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution. According to the brand, Kae's video (which boasts over 500,000 likes) spurred the sale of the $11 serum of over 52,000 units in just two weeks.
The Ordinary, if you're not already aware, is a cult beauty brand credited for making high-quality, ingredient-driven products at affordable prices. The Peeling Solution alone has over 1,000 near-perfect reviews.
While the above serum isn't yet available on Australian shores, The Ordinary has a number of products available that rival that of some of the most luxurious beauty brands.
The Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2% has a huge fan following and is a type of Alpha Hydroxy Acid that works to refine lines and smooth out wrinkles. It helps the skin retain water and improves its natural moisture factor.
