So naturally, when Angie and Carlin were on comedy new show Have You Been Paying Attention?, the topic of Matt and Chelsie’s breakup came up.
“Shock news from Matt and Chelsie the other day,” said the show’s host Tom Gleisner to his guests, Angie and Carlin.
“Yeah,” said Angie. "Once you get out of the Bachie bubble, it's up to you then to kind of create a connection and see how it goes," she said.
In a previous interview on Mamamia’s podcast before the show’s finale - and before we knew that the bachelorette had chosen Carlin - Angie talked about what it’s like to go from being in the mansion to having a relationship out in the real world.
“When you’re filming it’s just the Bachie world, you’re constantly with a producer, you can’t talk with them off camera unless someone’s around… You’re dating in front of cameramen and producers and all that, but it does become real because that’s all you know. You’re in the Bachie bubble,” said Angie.
“So then once you’re out, that’s when it starts but still not really, because it’s once the show’s done you have a normal-ish relationship. It’s kind of navigating between filming, post-filming when you’re not together, you’re together but you’re not together, then starting your relationship properly once it’s all done.”
Unfortunately, Angie and Carlin’s relationship has already been shrouded in rumours that they too will be announcing a split in the near future (presumably they have a contract in place that says they have to look like a happy couple for publicity). The same kind of rumours were linked to Matt and Chelsie, who lasted just two months after the show finished airing.
