New Report Claims Matty J Arranged A Date With Barista On The Show
Only four days have passed since the season final of The Bachelor hit our screens, and the rumour mill is already churning out tales of heartbreak and betrayal.
In last weeks episode, Australia's favourite love-reject Matty J named stunning jewellery designer Laura Byrne as the love of his life. While fans and fellow contestants were quick to congratulate the duo on their romance, a variety of publications have been quick to cast doubt on their love with drama-filled tales.
The most recent report claims that the 30-year-old Bachelor attempted to arrange a date with a 21-year-old barista during filming. Kiri Kennedy, a barista who worked at Plonk Beach Cafe on Sydney’s North Shore where Matty and Laura shared their first date, has claimed that the star was flirting with her.
"Flirting and wanting to meet up with me makes it all a bit unbelievable, don’t you think?" Kiri said to New Idea. "My co-workers pointed out to me that Matty J kept looking at me between filming and smiling."
"I was busy working when a person from the production team approached me and said,'Matty is with his girl at the moment and can’t talk right now, but he would like you to hang around to meet him after she leaves,'" explains Kiri.
"I decided to leave when my shift finished because in all honesty it didn’t feel right to stay," she continued. "All I know is that I would be very disappointed with him if I was in his new girlfriend’s shoes."
No word yet from Matty J, Laura or the production team... so we'll be taking this report with a grain of salt.
