The rugby star, who said he's "very excited " to be on the hit dating series, is set to begin filming in Bachie Mansion in Sydney this week.
While there are 25 women who will be fighting for The Badgelor's affection at the initial dinner party, there's one lady who's almost 100% guaranteed to score a rose. Cassandra Wood, a Home & Away extra and Miss World Australia 2017 contestant, has reportedly already dated Nick.
The Daily Telegraph reports that, much like Matty J and Laura Byrne, and Sophie Monk and Stu Laundy, Nick and Cassandra have previously engaged in some kind of romantic relationship.
"They’ve definitely been more than just friends," a source confirmed to the publication.
Applications for the series closed long before the announcement was made that Nick would be the star of the 2018 season, and the source said Cassandra "did not know Cummins was going to be the Bachelor." Cass indeed confirmed that they had dated, confessed they had a "past" during episode one.
We're not sure if the surprising coincidence will work out in Cassandra's favour or not, considering their romance didn't pan out in the real world. Only time will tell how things go down between them!
Another top contender in the series is 30-year-old single mum Ashlea Harvey, confirms Daily Mail.
Previous seasons have proved successful for single parents, with Snezana Markoski, Alex Nation and Stu Laundy all going on to win their respective seasons of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette.
