“Sorry I’ve been MIA mending a ‘broken heart symbol]” Chelsie kicked off her Instagram Stories with, while allowing fans to send through their questions for her to answer.
“This seems to be the same question a lot of you are asking me, and thank you for checking,” she starts off by saying in an Instagram Stories video.
“Yeah look, it’s definitely been rough. I do not deal with heartbreak well. And yeah, my heart is broken.”
“And heartbreak sucks,” she adds.
A fan asked Chelsie if anything has helped her get through the breakup, and she revealed she’s been reading Break-Up Boss by Zoë Foster Blake. “Best book everrrrrr,” she wrote.
When it came to the number one question on all our lips, Chelsie opted to remain vague about the details.
“A lot of you want to know exactly what happened with Matt and I…” she said. 'I'm going to respect Matt's privacy and not go into details - there isn't any anyway, nothing bad happened.”
“I guess it’s a hard situation, and it just takes two strong people with a really strong connection to get through the stages between filming and the end,” she answered.
While the process has left her nursing a broken heart, she doesn’t regret doing The Bachelor, and she does believe the show works. “Absolutely, it works so well. The good thing about it is it forces you to have conversations that take you ages to have in the real world.”
“The process was the best thing to happen to me. I found love.”
Finally, a fan asked if the split was mutual, to which Chelsie shared a cryptic picture of a child staring blankly into space, hinting that the breakup was in fact one-sided - which supports theories that Chelsie was blindsided by the split.
