Of course, there’s a show that’s literally dedicated to such a scenario - Bachelor in Paradise - and while some of the couples in this list found love there, most of them crossed paths with each other in the real world. A couple of them even met on the show.
Abbie Chatfield and Todd King
Abbie Chatfield may have made it through to the finale on Matt Agnew's season of The Bachelor, but few believed her heart was ever really in it. While she was in the mansion, rumour has it she was texting Todd King from Ali Oetjen's season of The Bachelorette. Since the show wrapped up, Abbie has been spotted kissing Todd on numerous occasions, semi-confirming that the pair are currently dating (see the photos here). When asked recently on Outspoken The Podcast about whether she was dating Todd, she said, “Umm…I mean…I don’t know…I like him."
Renee Barrett and Ciarran Stott
Before Angie Kent’s season of The Bachelorette had even aired, rumours were making the rounds that the only reason Ciarran Stott signed up for the reality show is because he spotted his ex, Renee Barrett, on Matt Agnew’s season. On Renee’s Instagram account, she recently posted an image of her with a mystery man who looks a lot like Ciarran, from the bleached blonde ponytail to the neck tattoo that Ciarran has added since leaving the show. The pair also both live in Darwin...
Keira Maguire and Jarrod Woodgate
Keira (who was on Richie Strahan's season) and Jarrod (who made it to Sophie Monk’s top two) started dating after meeting on season two of Bachelor in Paradise. After an on-again-off-again relationship, they confirmed their split in August.
Megan Marx and Tiffany Scanlon
The first same-sex couple to come out of the Bachelor franchise, Megan Marx and Tiffany Scanlon found love during Richie Strahan's season of The Bachelor in 2016, only it wasn’t with the bachie. They dated up until mid-2017. According to Megan, flaunting their relationship publicly was one of the reasons it broke down.
Megan Marx and Jake Ellis
After her breakup with Tiffany, Megan went on the 2016 season of Bachelor in Paradise and fell for ex-Bachelorette contestant Jake Ellis (from Georgia Love’s season). They dated for almost three years, but after their third breakup, they decided they didn’t work as a couple and would just be friends.
Tara Pavlovic and Sam Cochrane
Tara (from Matty J’s season) and Sam (from Sophie Monk’s season) didn’t just fall in love on the 2017 season of Bachelor in Paradise, they got engaged on the final episode. But their relationship didn’t last long outside of paradise. Within a few months they had called it quits, with Sam claiming Tara assaulted him and Tara saying it was as a result of Sam’s infidelity confession.
Sarah Mae Amey and Dave Billsborrow
Sarah Mae (from Tim Robard’s season) was introduced to Dave via Sarah Mae’s best friend Sam Frost (who happened to be the bachelorette on Dave’s season). While they apparently hit it off straight away and began dating in November 2015, they broke up just a few months later.
Rachael Arahill and Vakoo Kauapirura
A couple we certainly never saw coming, Rachael Arahill and Vakoo Kauapirura were seen kissing in public at a Sydney restaurant in August. According to a source, they actually shared their first kiss in the mansion after the first cocktail party. When OK! asked Rachael about their relationship, she said, "We're just keeping it casual for now, but I don't know exactly what label you'd put on it".
Samuel Johnston and Noni Janur
A Bachelor/Bachelorette couple that has lasted three years and counting, Samuel Johnston (from Georgia Love's season) and Noni Janur (from Richie Strahan's season) met on the publicity circuit and confirmed their relationship in 2017 via a Valentine’s Day Instagram post. They're currently in a long-distance relationship but seem to be going strong.
