The Australian Wallabies rugby player and all-around-legend has spoken excitedly of his chance to find love on the hit dating series... that currently has a 60% success rate (or a direr 50% if you include The Bachelorette stats). Cummins has been single for more than 18 months, after splitting with his girlfriend of five years, artist Martine Thomassen.
"I’m really looking forward to throwing everything at this opportunity to finding the one," he said in a statement.
“The past 10 or so years has been on the road playing rugby or working on my projects, so I’m very excited to be part of a show that is centred around love and good times.”
After the success of Sophie Monk's season of The Bachelorette, it makes sense the network would choose to ring in another fun-loving celebrity to spice up the show.
The beloved Aussie sportsman is sure to bring some much-need humour to the dating series, which has been filled to the brim with dull conversation and even duller dates in the past few years. Just saying.
If the contestants are anything like previous seasons, we personally can not WAIT to see how they struggle to understand Cummins' unique Aussie slang.
