In The Bachelor Australia’s top 3 Instagram announcement, the image shows Chelsie McLeod in the middle of Helena Sauzier and Abbie Chatfield. Based on previous seasons of The Bachelor Australia and The Bachelorette Australia, the contestant photographed in the middle always win.
See…Lee Elliott from Georgia Love's season...in the middle. Sasha Mielczarek from Sam Frost's season… front and centre. Stu Laundy from Sophie Monk's season...Alex Nation from Richie Strahan's season...same deal.
In an attempt to throw viewers off, Channel 10 has since released another photo of the top 3, this time with Helena in the middle. But fans aren’t buying it.
Especially as there have already been convincing rumours that Chelsie wins, as well as claims Chelsie and Matt have called it quits on their relationship.
“Since the finale, everyone has heard there’s been problem after problem – they were just not seeing eye-to-eye on anything and didn’t have any chemistry. Once the cameras stopped rolling, the sparkle just wore off,” a source told New Idea.
“Chelsie has been really down since the show wrapped and now she has said she isn’t going to do any interviews. She doesn’t want anything to do with the franchise anymore, despite being under contractual obligations for months to come.”
Perhaps that would explain the latest image of Chelsie on The Bachelor Australia’s Instagram. There’s a post from each of the top 3 girls, with a photo and a private message (supposedly) written by them on how they're feeling heading into the next rose ceremony. While Helena and Abbie both have professional photos, Chelsie’s is actually an old Instagram pic from when she was travelling in Croatia pre-Bachelor back in July 2018.
And while her message starts off positive with her saying, “After seeing Matt in hometowns with my family, it makes it even clearer that I can picture a life with him,” she ends with a different, less optimistic tone: “Regardless of the outcome, I have learnt so much about myself and am eternally grateful for the experience.”
