Now at 29, Swift asked what the most rebellious thing she did as a teenager was during DeGeneres's Burning Questions game. "Probably when I put Joe Jonas on blast on your show," she answered. "That was too much. Yeah, that was too much. I was 18. We laugh about it now. That was mouthy, yeah, teenage stuff there."
Taylor Swift made her first TV appearance in two years this week, appearing on the Ellen DeGeneres Show. Surprisingly, Swift opened up about her former relationship with Joe Jonas - saying she regrets the way she handled their breakup.
For context, Swift was 18 then, and she publicly put Jonas on blast for the way he broke up with her. "We haven’t talked since [the breakup], actually," she told Ellen at the time. "So it’s like, yeah, but you know what? Someday I’m going to find someone really, really great who’s right for me and..." DeGeneres then cut in to jokingly suggest she date one of Jonas's brothers. There was some laughter, but eventually Swift returned to that sentiment of finding someone better, and that's when she let how Jonas broke up with her slip. "Oh, it’s okay. It’s all right. I’m cool. You know what? It’s like when I find that person, that is right for me and he’ll be wonderful, and when I look at that person, I’m not even going to be able to remember the boy who broke up with me over the phone in 25 seconds when I was 18."
