When Sylvia Jefffreys and Peter Stefanovic announced their engagement in July last year, sharing super-cute snaps on their Instagram accounts, we were over the moon for the happy couple, but couldn’t help but immediately wonder which label the stylish TV personality would choose to wear on her big day.
Well, the wait is over, because it’s been reported that Jeffreys is tipped to wear a gown by local designer, Rebecca Vallance as she walks down the aisle. Though not known for bridal wares, it’s easy to see why the star has chosen the label—ultra-feminine, floor sweepings designs are a part of the brand’s DNA, and wouldn’t look out of place at any fairy-tale occasion, least of all a wedding!
"Throwback to last night's celebrations for @rebeccavallance ... This girl is on 🔥 Don't forget me when you take over the 🌍 xx
Jeffreys also has a long-standing relationship with the label, which she calls “my fav”, and has been spotted in Rebecca Vallance designs countless times over the last few years, including at both the 2015 and 2016 Logie Awards, where Jeffreys wore gowns custom made for her by the designer.
For those of you who don’t know, Rebecca Vallance launched her eponymous label in 2011, and has gone from strength to strength ever since. The Sydney-based label’s fans include Chrissy Teigen, Rachel McAdams and Kate Beckinsale, and Vallance is one of only a handful of Australian designers who have been invited to show on schedule at New York fashion week (which she did in 2015). But don’t just take our word for it; check out the pretty designs for yourself here.
