Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia has wrapped for another year, with it a number of unmissable moments. From the show locations we couldn’t get out our head to the collections worth swooning over, the week has been a melting pot of the best Sydney has to offer. Below, our editors weigh in on the shows they hated see end.

For me the stand out moment was Double Rainbouu’s immersive presentation. Having the opportunity to see each look in a setting as special as Sydney’s Chinese Garden of Friendship was a very cool experience.

As always, Lee Mathews blew me away. Celebrating 20 years in the industry, the collection was a retrospective of some of her best looks, with equal amounts pretty dresses and utility pieces. A personal favourite was this pocketed top and Bermuda shorts — I want to make this my summer uniform!

It’s easy to pick and choose favourite pieces from all the different collections presented during fashion week, but it’s not often that you can comfortably see yourself wearing every single thing a certain designer turns out. But that was exactly how I felt after running my eyes over Anna Quan’s resort range. From shirting with a twist to chic short-and-blazer sets and an ultra-wearable colour palette that bounced from sunny yellow to sophisticated tan—it was a dream. The walk-through presentation format was also a great way to see the clothes up close.
