Relaxed & Feminine 70s
With brands like Ganni, Ulla Johnson, Nanushka and Bassike, Bridget can see it's all about the relaxed, 70s feel. "Really thinking about lots of volume, and dresses that become a bit more mid-length - both in the sleeve and the actual length," she says. "The 70s prints, colours and volume of the sleeves, and also the length of the dress, would sum up spring."
Lee Matthews, Oasis Stripe Crinkle Dress; $1200
Yuzefi, Dolores; $920
By Far, Sonia Sandal; $499
Ruffled & Tiered
"These items have a good Australian vibe to them," Bridget says of the ruffled and voluminous offerings available this season. Look to brands like Aje and Acler for your volume needs - especially in bright colours and on-trend prints like checks. "Summer moved into ginghams and I think everyone's been clear that we're backing the houndstooth, not only because it is our heritage but obviously it's a big international trend and we've certainly got a summer version of houndstooth."
AJE, Alice Blouse; $345.00
Rixo London, Gracie Tiger Frill Midi Skirt; $209.30
Acler, Riverside Skirt; $395
Prepare to get colourful because Bridget claims neon and visual trends are being seen in some of the leading designer collections. "I think that is going to be a very visual trend, so I think people will be in neons even if they just use it as highlights, or whether you're head to toe."
She adds, "Whether you go really really bright or more subdued into the kind of seventies florals and prints, it's going to be, it's almost an extreme. So if you like the brights, then you're never going to be brighter."
Le Specs, The Last Lolita Sunglasses; $119
