Selena Gomez is shedding light on her relationship with childhood best friend Demi Lovato in a candid new interview about her life away from the spotlight.
Selena revealed following Demi's apparent overdose in July, she decided not to send a public message of support like many of Lavato's other celebrity friends. "All I'm saying is, I reached out personally," she says, reportedly getting choked up as she thinks about Lovato's struggles, according to Elle. "I didn't do a public thing. I didn't want to... I love her. I've known her since I was 7. So... it's... that's what I'll say."
