There was a lot to unpack when Selena Gomez attended the 2017 American Music Awards today.
First up, the iconically brunette singer debuted a new blonde 'do on the red carpet (plus, she wore a divine custom Coach ensemble).
While her fierce new hair colour and leather outfit were applauded by fans, her rendition of Wolves later in the evening was not.
Fans immediately took to Twitter following her AMAs live performance of the song to slam the star for what they believe was lip synching.
Despite the backlash, there's been no confirmation that Selena was lip synching at any point during the song. Most performers use backing tracks at awards shows, which can sometimes overpower the live vocals. There were also parts of the performance where the star sang alone without a backing track or any music.
Regardless of the controversy, we're proud of the star for singing and performing her best following a difficult recovery from her kidney transplant. Well done Selena!
