We came to love Nathalie Emmanuel as the strong, loyal and fearless Missandei on Game of Thrones, and the actress is now embodying her former guise to front Reebok's brand new capsule range. The 'HER COLLECTION' is all about giving 'her' the tools to tell her story.
Emmanuel joined the brand in 2018 with the goal to empower and encourage people to own who they are, and the range - which features designs that allow the wearer to feel individually unique with an assortment of versatile pieces and fresh silhouettes - personifies exactly that.
To Emmanuel, the strength she portrays on screen is honed in real life, both physically and mentally, and it’s a commitment she’s continuing to make every day: to improve, strengthen and feel empowered. “I want to be a part of changing the stories that are told,” she told the brand. “Whether that’s as an actor, or making my own films, giving people a platform to tell their stories and explore human beings. We’re amazing and so complex, and I want to see that—I want to learn something.”
The brand also said of the collaboration, "At Reebok, we believe that through movement, we can unlock our true human potential. We recognise that potential in all. Our particular focus and passion is to help ensure women have the same opportunities to move freely and unlock their full human potential."
"From the start, we have authentically represented women by designing our products to fit her body and working to ensure she feels empowered to move. This commitment is rooted in our history. We were the first company to show a woman sweat and the first to make fitness shoes exclusively for women. Our commitment remains our driving force today."
And if there’s one thing she wants others to take away from her, it’s support.
“My superpower is trying to always be proactive and positive and always encourage the people around me to be the same.”
