After launching in 2016, the duo have gone on to become frontier faces in the Australian fashion industry, and are about to make their Sydney Fashion Week runway debut, no doubt to a sellout reception.
Speaking to Edwards and Tregoning at the InStyle and Audi Women Of Style awards on Wednesday night, the founders — and Women of Style nominees — discussed everything from empowering other women to who they consider their own style icons. Appearing on the red carpet with Tregoning in Ellery and Edwards in Alexander Wang and Toni Maticevski, the pair looked like a serious power duo.
"We’re very blown away to be honest," the duo told us. We love coming to this award every year, just because it’s so meaningful and there’s a lot of amazing women apart of the nominees and winners – it’s really huge."
When asked about catching up with fellow designers, the pair were open about sharing ideas and having a large network.
"It’s so good to see what everyone else is doing. I think it’s really good to hear their stories. I also think to get out of your industry and to know what other women are doing out there in the world. It’s good to get out of your bubble – it’s amazing."
To mark the eleventh annual awards, we're honouree ten inspiring women that bring the message of the awards to life. 2019's line up group of honourees includes leaders in science, business, fashion, social justice, beauty and entertainment, boasting a list of combined achievements that proves style is more than just the clothes you wear.
