1. What makes a good talent show judge?
A good talent show judge is open-minded, fun and up for everything! What makes a talent show like Australia's Got Talent so special is that we get to celebrate people who represent all walks of life and who have something special to share.
2. Would you call yourself competitive?
Yes, I’ve got a natural competitive streak in me – my motto is to give it all and leave it all out there. I'm all about living your life to the fullest potential.
3. Favourite fellow judge? and why?
Ah, this is hard because they're all great. But if I have to choose, Lucy is number one because she’s the other female judge. We’re similar in some ways but more so, opposites. I call her a real-life Disney princess. She's full of energy and love and she's so sweet. Manu and Shane are epic too as they really crack me up. Manu is a team player and Shane is simply hilarious.
4. A pinch-me moment from your (fabulous!!) Pussycat Dolls days?
I have so many pinch-me moments from my Pussycat Doll days. Being nominated for a GRAMMY was a lifelong dream! Performing at the AMA's… receiving MTV awards… so many great moments. Another pinch-me moment that happened recently was performing with an idol of mine, Andrea Bocelli, at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
5. You’ve become an advocate for higher education for females with Michelle Obama. How did this come about?
I cannot stress enough how important education is and I truly admire all of the work Michelle Obama is doing especially as it pertains to young girl's education. It's a fundamental human right and unfortunately, the statistics show that 130 million girls around the world can't attend school. This needs to change.
6. You are involved in a lot of charity work- is this a priority for you?
It’s extremely important to me to give back in any way I can. I feel lucky to be in a position where I can get involved and support important causes/charities - specifically Special Olympics and Unicef.
7. Top of the list to-do while here in Australia?
Climb the harbour bridge and try to head over the great barrier reef.
8. Describe your style, favourite designers you are loving right now?
I’m loving Nicolas Jebran, Dior, Balmain, Fendi. Recently I was in the Middle East and fell in love with the work of Lama Jouni. Manuel Arnaut introduced me to the brand.
9. What brings you joy?
Spending time with my family and friends. But especially, going back home to Hawaii to see my family is really important to me and it brings me the most joy.
10. Favourite self-care ritual?
Drinking lots of water and sleeping as much as I can. I pray and meditate. I exercise as I love to sweat it out. I also think that listening to music that inspires you and feeds your soul is a self-care ritual that's easy to do. Staying educated. Good food and family. It's important to take care of you!
