Fans of the Channel Ten dating series will remember Cummins best by the end of his season in 2018, where he chose to walk away from both Brittany Hockley and Sophie Tieman.
"I just know in my heart, I've done the right thing," he said at the time. "They are two amazing women who are walking out of my life right now. It wouldn't be fair to enter into something and a few months later, break her heart."
After it aired, the former rugby player received backlash for his decision and even admitted to ABC Radio National that he did not want to fake a relationship for the months following, as per the contractual obligation the stars have to reportedly sign.
"And what’s more important, me just saying 'yes' and going through the motions and dragging some girl through all this media about how we’re in love and then three months down the track after the contract’s over, um, we’re allowed to break up. I’m not going to drag them through that rubbish…and break her heart. Bugger that."
