Gird your loins: Nick 'Honey Badger' Cummins is tipped to be Australia's next Bachelor!
The rugby union larrikin, who has played for the Wallabies and the Australian sevens team, is set to star in the 2018 season of The Bachelor Australia and, honestly, sign us up (FYI: if you actually do want to enter the sixth season you can apply right here).
The Sunday Telegraph is reporting that the athlete has beaten out other contenders, including previous contestant Cameron Cranley, and recent I'm A Celebrity star Josh Gibson. The publication claims that an official announcement from the network is scheduled for next week.
"He going to be great for the franchise. Funny, witty, with a huge cult following. This is stroke of genius for the network," a source revealed.
After years of - let's be honest - lacklustre Bachelors who can barely hold a conversation together, we think Nick Cummins is the man Australia truly deserves. But while we're stoked to hear The Honey Badger will be searching for love on national television, we're a little concerned about whether or not the show's typical contestants will even understand his iconic slang. He's not exactly a classic Bachelor™ who will repeat the phrase "you look pretty" 700 times until he eventually picks a girl.
If you're not familiar with the Badger's genius interview style and quirky phrases, take a peek at some of the best moments below...
If Cummins is indeed the next star of the hit dating show, we can expect to see plenty of jam-packed adventurous dates and a few cheeky trips to the pub. After all, his Instagram account is *filled* with insight to his fun-loving lifestyle.
