Miuccia Prada is the latest designer to present a runway show with major star power, tapping Alexa Chung, Kate Bosworth and Chloë Sevigny to debut looks from Miu Miu's resort 2019 collection.
And that's not all: the fashion front-row regulars were joined on the runway by Game of Thrones star Gwendoline Christie, Stranger Things actor Sade Sink, and Uma Thurman, who closed the show in a sporty rain jacket that she removed to reveal a glam leopard print gown. Talk about going out with a bang!
Despite the fact that the star-studded catwalk could rival an awards ceremony red carpet, the casting was virtually unplanned. "We did it in one day. We decided in the morning: ‘Let’s do it,’ and we asked and everybody said yes,” Prada revealed to WWD. “They loved the idea of doing the show.”
Models of the moment Kaia Gerber, Taylor Hill and Adwoa Aboah also appeared in what is sure to go down as a runway show to remember.
