The time for brushing up on designer trivia, picking out your next summer wardrobe and getting excited for the collections to come has arrived. In other words, Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia 2019 is almost here!
Coming to Sydney in May, the week marks the biggest event for Australian fashion brands, complete with visiting celebrities and designers, and plenty of open-to-the-public events. From when it's on to which designers we can expect to see, we'll be updating the below story as we get more information — so you can ensure you're fully across MBFWA for 2019.
What dates does MBFWA run on?
MBFWA will run from the 12th to the 18th of May, 2019.
Where is MBFWA held?
The base for MBFWA is at Carriageworks in Sydney, however some designers choose to show elsewhere. The opening show is often held off site. In 2017, Dion Lee showed at the Sydney Opera House.

Who's this year's Mercedes Benz Designer?
Aje has been announced as the 2019 Mercedes Benz designer, with the duo behind the label, Edwina Forest and Adrian Norris, being tapped for the honour. Aje will open the week, showing what will no doubt be a spectacular show in an awe-stopping location.
Which season does the week show?
MBFWA shows the resort season, and for 2019 we'll be viewing the Resort 2020 collections.
