When and where is the Met Gala held?
The Met Gala is always held on the first Monday in May. For 2019, that falls on Monday the 6th of May. Starting around 7pm in New York, that means the red carpet starts around 9am in Australia and goes until about midday. Held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in Manhattan, New York, the Met Gala is primarily a fundraiser for the Museum and acts as the opening night for the respective exhibition.
