According to global retailer ASOS, they have seen a huge rise in women’s tailoring in the last year and more specifically a 129 percent rise in women’s suits.
And who do we know who loves a perfectly tailored pantsuit?
Despite reports that Meghan had been told to ditch the pants in favour of more royally-appropriate choices, the former Suits actress has thrown out the royal rule book and continues to pursue her passion for the pantsuit.
Queen Elizabeth reportedly prefers royal women to wear dresses and skirts.
The real test of her royal rule breaking however will be her upcoming royal tour in Australia.
Meghan had reportedly hoped to wear a tuxedo-style pantsuit by Stella McCarney for one of the events, but husband Prince Harry allegedly vetoed the look.
"Meghan is being told she needs to stop dressing like a Hollywood star and start dressing like a Royal," a source from the fashion team at Kensington Palace told the Daily Mail. "Meghan wanted to wear a tuxedo-style suit but Harry said it wasn’t traditional enough."
