Begin with your hair out and parted in the center. Using an oval cushion brush (ideal for smoothing flyaways), pull strands back into your palm keeping the part intact. Determine the most flattering position for your ponytail – Meghan wears her roughly 2cm above the top of her ears - then secure tightly with an elastic. Take a drop of hair oil, rub it between your palms, and apply to smooth down flyaways. More stubborn strands may need to be tackled with a styling gel.

Using a curling wand, take sections of the ponytail and wrap just the bottom half of the hair around the barrel. Once the ponytail is curled, take your fingers and pull out the curls to create a soft loose wave. Set waves with a lightweight hairspray.
Take a small section of hair from the pony and wrap it around the elastic. You can secure with a single pin pointing downward into the pony or forgo the pin by spraying the wrapped hair with hairspray then blasting it set with your hair dryer.
