The betrothed couple are set to make their first on-camera appearance as a couple in a broadcast in London later today. Until then, we do have some potential insight to the style of the engagement ring.
US Weekly reports that Harry designed the ring himself and claims the unique piece will incorporate diamonds from a brooch owned by the late Princess Diana. The unconfirmed report has certainly peaked fans interests, who can't wait to see what such a ring might look like!
Meghan and Harry first began dating in June 2016, before the Royal Family broke protocol and publicly addressed the relationship due to the "wave of abuse and harassment" that had been directed towards the actress.
In a September 2017 interview with Vanity Fair, Meghan addressed their relationship in an interview for the first time.
"We're two people who are really happy and in love. We were very quietly dating for about six months before it became news, and I was working during that whole time, and the only thing that changed was people's perception," she told the publication.
Speculation of an engagement has grown rapidly since Meghan quit her acting gig on the hit series Suits, and packed up her home in Toronto to move to Kensington Palace with the Prince. She was also recently spotted being guarded by royal protection officers, a service only afforded to Kate Middleton once she had become engaged to Prince William.
We're so excited to finally have confirmation of Meghan and Harry's happy news. Congratulations to the couple!
