Meghan Markle, Prince Harry and baby Archie are heading to Balmoral Castle next week to spend time with Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, who holiday at the Scottish estate every summer. It’s the first time Meghan has visited Balmoral.

Considering the agenda usually involves grouse hunting and salmon fishing, it may not be the dream family vacation for Meghan.
As a known animal rights activist, the Duchess of Sussex is undoubtedly morally opposed to the idea of hunting, so tensions may be at an all-time high during their stay.
“It is hunting which is perhaps the biggest passion,” wrote The Daily Mail’s royals writer Robert Jobson of the royal family. “Meghan, however, who rather disproves of such blood sports, may choose to feign a headache.”
However, Meghan was faced with a similar scenario not too long ago, when the royal family went on their annual Boxing Day pheasant hunt. She opted to sit out the event, while husband Prince Harry still went along.
Luckily, hikes and horse riding are also common ways for the royals to spend their downtime at the Balmoral vacation home, so there will still be plenty for Meghan and newborn Archie to participate in.
Prince William, Kate Middleton and their family also recently visited the Queen in Balmoral, having left just a week ago.
