On the eve of Pippa Middleton’s wedding Meghan Markle has touched down in London. Prince Harry’s other half, and official plus one, landed at Heathrow International Airport before being driven straight to Kensington Palace in a Range Rover, reports E! News.
Despite a rumoured 'no ring, no bring' policy, Harry will in fact break tradition by bringing his girlfriend to the wedding People confirms. The 35-year-old won’t attend the church ceremony at St. Mark’s however she will be attending the evening party after the nuptials. Protocol prohibits unmarried and un-engaged partners to attend the event, but they are more likely to attend the big bash afterwards, which tends to be less formal.
With wedding fever in full swing, speculation continues to grow around whether Harry will propose to the Suits actress–Vanity Fair reports that thanks to an unusual statement from Westminster Abbey—Meghan's divorce in 2013 is not a deal breaker.
A spokesman for Westminster Abbey said, according to the Daily Express, “The Abbey follows the General Synod Ruling of 2002. Since then it has been possible for divorced people to be married in the Church of England.” Additionally, the spokesman confirmed that the fact that Markle’s father is Jewish would not in any way impede her getting married there.
