Seafolly welcomes Emma Stern Nielsen as the new face of their Spring 2017 campaign. Emma flew to the Cooloola Coast in Queensland for the Seafolly shoot. The Danish model tells us about her time in Australia, exercise routine and plans for the future.
What’s your favourite Seafolly piece?
The white bikini that was used in the campaign styled with a super cool silver jacket. Such a feminine and strong look!
Have you been to Australia before?
Yes, it was over two years ago! I visited Sydney and Byron Bay.
What do you like about Australia?
It's amazing to visit a country so far and discover the amazing nature I haven't experienced before. The Australian way of living is quite similar to the Danish way. Everyone is down to earth and really easy to be around. We also have the same dark sense of humour, it's actually quite rare around the world.
What’s your favourite exercise and how often do you do it?
I like to run! It's great, not only for the body but also for your mind. I try to always stay healthy and strong.
Tell us about your diet…
I don't believe in diets! I believe in a natural and balanced relationship to food and exercise. Nothing extreme. I think we are all made to look different and what might work for me, is not going to work for someone else. I have one rule, never compromise your own health or happiness. Have respect for your body but let yourself cheat and don't worry too much about it.
What is your beauty regime like?
I feel that my skin is sometimes better the less I touch it. I expose my skin to a lot of different products while I am working so when I'm off I try to give it a break. I always try to use something with no "bad stuff".
Where do you see yourself in five years?
I'm very interested in architecture and interior design so I really want to go in that direction.
Have you had any pinch me moments since you started modelling?
Every time I stand on an amazing location somewhere in the world. It always reminds me how lucky I am to have this job!
Who is your favourite model of all time?
I'm really into the models era of the ‘90s! The bodies, looks and quality of the shoots was just timeless.
