Speaking to the Daily Mail Matty continued: "What’s his motive? Maybe he’s jealous that she’s back in the spotlight and he’s not. It’s hard to know what is the truth and what is a made-up story.”
The 31-year-old former marketing executive also discussed the longevity of the franchise following the recent backlash. "I don’t think The Bachelor [franchise] needs to do anything different. Of all the shows its definitely the most wholesome and credible at creating couples. Like every good product there’s always going to be good peaks and troths, and I think it won’t be long until The Bachelor is back on top," he told the outlet.
Matty's two-year relationship with Laura is a rarity amongst fellow bachelor couples. Back in June, Johnson revealed that after moving in with Byrne, they might be ready to start a family of their own.
"They say you're a product of your environment, and we're both surrounded by babies at the moment," proud Uncle Matty J told Now To Love.
The 31-year-old Bondi local revealed that he would love to have a baby of his own with girlfriend of just over one year, Toni May jewellery designer Laura. "I'm hoping in 12 months' time, we'll be looking to start a family," Johnson shared.
"Marriage is on the cards too – but we don't want to rush anything," he added.
