"While I was on Married At First Sight, I was forever in the mirror doing makeup or wearing a sheet mask," Martha says, adding: "I don't take my sheet mask off for anyone" referring to that now-iconic MAFS scene between herself and Cyrell.
"I think it was then that people realised, 'Hey, this girl is taking her skincare seriously'."
As for what Martha does for her everyday glow, it all comes down to consistency. Oh, and her "hero" glycolic peel pads.
"I think going back to basics is everything - like always taking off your makeup. I'm obsessed with serums, so I like to layer my serums, the NIP+FAB vitamin C serum, always, and their glycolic peel pads, I've been obsessed with the peel pad since forever. I do also love an active, an AHA, active ingredients and retinol. I am obsessed with retinol."
Martha also had the chance to open up about body positivity, admitting her own personal struggles with it.
"I'm still learning how to approach this and how to deal with that. I'm still learning. I feel like I've turned 31 and my body has changed again and I'm just, it's so hard being a girl. You see all these photos and I work in an industry with models. I used to work on set and shooting these girls, these six-foot girls and I'd just be like, wow. But it's hard and I just feel like you have to work with what you've got and you just have to own it and just that's it. You get one body, there's not much you can do to it."
Finally, we couldn't let Martha leave without telling us her beauty arsenal's must-have products at the moment.
"I love the Dermalogica pre-cleanse oil - there is nothing else like it. If you decide to wear Dulux paint as your foundation, it will remove that. That is an essential. Also an eye cream. I absolutely love the La Mer eye cream, the concentrate, that is my go-to. And do you know what else? A multivitamin. I'm really taking my vitamins at the moment because I'm so stressed and I travel so much and it's hard to get all your nutrients in."
