Australian actress Marta Dusseldorp has spoken to InStyle at the InStyle and Audi Women of Style Awards about true style being a force, and what that means for celebrating women.
What does true style mean to you?
Tonight, for me, it’s about being a force. A force of nature, a force of voice, a force of truth and a force of autonomy. That’s what I’ve been thinking about tonight when I arrived.
Why do you think it’s important to celebrate women’s achievements?
I actually don’t even know how to answer that, because of course, we must. The thing I love about the InStyle Awards is that they have for years and it feels like slowly everything is catching up. It’s not just that, but it’s a part of it, and its irreversibly how it is now. We are going to continue to celebrate women and shout their names from the top of rooftops. It’s a great time to have two daughters – I’m really excited for them.
What do you hope your daughters learn from you about style?
For me, my hope for my daughters is that they learn natural is best. That effortless is attractive and that honesty comes from your eyes.
Marta is wearing Carla Zampatti, who she describes as "another amazing Australian woman".
