Married At First Sight's Jules Robinson has revealed her heartbreak in a new interview. The reality star told 9Honey she felt "disappointed and betrayed" after a friend leaked pictures from her and fiancé Cameron Merchant’s engagement party.
The Nine star also firmly denied rumours that she was "paid $50,000 by Channel Nine" to give them exclusive access inside the event.
"Literally within a few hours someone had leaked photos from the inside out, which is very hurtful because it was a friend, obviously not a friend anymore," the 37-year-old told the online publication.
"They were selling photos from the inside, which is just really disappointing and a betrayal of trust to think that they're gonna make money from an event. Then to be told from the press that we've made money when we spent a lot of our own money and didn't make a single cent from our engagement party! It wasn't about that for us."
The evening was filled with fellow MAFS stars including Heidi, Elizabeth, Cyrell, Mick, Melissa, Billy and Bronson.
"There were a lot of people there, it wasn't as if our wedding is going to be as big, it was more a celebration of people we've met along the way as well, and who've had our back and been our friend and been so supportive on our journey from day one," Jules explains of the guest list.
"It's why we had people like [journalist] Shelly Horton, she was actually invited before she ended up interviewing. It's people like that who have become friends, who we really respect, and we get along well with. That is why there were people from that world there."
