Margot Robbie and Tom Ackerley tied the knot in an intimate Byron Bay ceremony in late 2016, and even began a film production company together called LuckyChap Entertainment. Despite their committed romantic and professional relationship, it's rare for Margot to discuss her marriage or husband in any interviews. But on Wednesday night's edition of The Project, Margot opened up about working alongside her husband for her latest film, I, Tonya.
"It's good, it means we actually get to spend time together," she told the panel. "The hard thing about this industry is that you're often in different places working so to actually be working on the same job means that we actually got to hang out for months."
Margot also spoke about the moment she found out she was nominated for an Academy Award, at an after-party for the premiere of her film in Sydney.

"Someone plugged their phone into the DJ booth so it was really loud just when they announced my name," she told the panel. "The whole room just went rahhhhhhh and we all started screaming and my mum was crying. It was amazing."
The happy moment was captured on her younger brother Cameron's Instagram, with the adorable video surfacing online on Wednesday.
Congratulations to Margot, Tom and the entire I, Tonya team for the nominations!
