Margot Robbie will star along Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio in Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
The acclaimed Kill Bill director has chosen Margot to portray Sharon Tate in the film, according to Deadline, “she now has the offer and negotiations are underway to make it a reality.” Pitt and DiCaprio have already signed on for the project’s two other lead roles.
Once Upon A Time In Hollywood is a Pulp Fiction-style tapestry in 1969; Tarantino will depict the hippie culture around the infamous killing-spree ordered by Charles Manson, including the Murder of Tate.
DiCaprio is starring as Rick Dalton, who is struggling to make it in the movie business. Dalton is joined by his long-time stunt double Cliff Booth, played by Brad Pitt. The two happen to live next door to Tate, and their Hollywood struggle will somehow get caught up in the Manson murders.
At the time of her murder, Sharon was married to controversial filmmaker Roman Polanski. His role is yet to be cast.
Sony Pictures has dated the film for n August 9, 2019 release worldwide, which marks the 50th anniversary of Tate’s murder.
