In the film, which also starts Brad Pitt and Leonardo Dicaprio, Margot portrays the late model and actress Sharon Tate. The iconic blonde was married to director Roman Polanski but was murdered by members of the Manson family in 1969 when she was eight-and-a-half months pregnant with her first child.
Once Upon A Time In Hollywood is a Pulp Fiction-style tapestry in 1969; Tarantino will depict the hippie culture around the infamous killing-spree ordered by Charles Manson, including the Murder of Tate.
DiCaprio is starring as Rick Dalton, who is struggling to make it in the movie business. Dalton is joined by his long-time stunt double Cliff Booth, played by Brad Pitt. The two happen to live next door to Tate, and their Hollywood struggle will somehow get caught up in the Manson murders.
Sony Pictures has dated the film for an August 9, 2019 release worldwide, which marks the 50th anniversary of Tate’s murder.
