M.A.C Cosmetics makeup brushes are perhaps as famous as the iconic cult-beauty brand. From the 219 Pencil Brush, to the 129 Powder/Blush Brush, beauty addicts around the globe swear by the collection of holy grail brushes.
As such, today is a major day for fans of the brand, who have announced they will be changing their iconic brushes permanently by making the move from animal hair to synthetic hair bristles.
In a statement MAC announced the change, along with the addition of some brand new brush styles:
"Our long-lauded brush line gets treated to a makeover! Introducing our 100% synthetic brushes, incorporating the latest innovations in fibre technology for superior performance and improved longevity. An "S" on the handle following the brush number identifies each new and improved replacement. The collection brings back the 125, 161 and 139 Brushes, and also debuts two new Eye Brushes – 240S and 268S."
M.A.C Global Senior Artist Dominic Skinner actually teased the collection on Instagram last month, though it has only been confirmed by the brand in their new statement.
"240S is amazing for highlighter," he wrote.
