Many Love Actually fans have been left positively stunned this week, by a revelation about two of the film's biggest stars. Yes, we're still talking about this feel-good Christmas movie that was released over a decade ago, and we will always be talking about it because it is a global treasure.
Today, the flick has been brought back into the spotlight by a shocked Twitter user who discovered the not-so-huge age difference between Keira Knightley and Thomas Brodie-Sangster. Keira played Juliet, a woman who recently tied the knot with Peter, and Thomas played Sam, a school-kid who was in love with his classmate. Despite their vastly different character arcs, however, there was only a five-year age difference between the two.
When the film was released, Keira was just 18 years old, while Thomas was 13. How on earth did this happen and not seem weird? It probably has a lot to do with the fact that Keira did not look like your typical teenager, and Thomas looked especially young and childlike for his age.
