'Praying for London' is the sentiment echoed on Twitter today after the tragic attack in the English capital which, left six dead and 48 requiring hospital treatment. The incidents, which occurred at 10 pm local time, involve "a van and stabbing incident” on London Bridge and at nearby Borough Market, reports the BBC.
A third attack was initially reported when a police unit was sent to the Vauxhall area. Officers later said this was a stabbing and not connected to the operation at London Bridge and Borough Market. Three suspects have been shot dead, and the events labeled as a "terrorist incident,” by the Metropolitan Police.
