The former host took to Twitter to share the news, posting an official statement from Channel Nine.
She captioned the statement, "I have some news. I'm sad to say that today was my last day on @thetodayshow. The following statement is from Channel Nine..."
According to the post, the TV network were "unable to meet the expectations of Lisa Wilkinson and her manager."
The news came just one day after The Sunday Telegraph reported that Lisa was holding out on re-signing with the network until she was granted 'pay parity' with Karl Stefanovic. Lisa has been hosting the popular morning show alongside Karl for just over 10 years.
"I want to thank the Today Show audience who have been so supportive and incredibly loyal to me over the last decade," Lisa said in the statement.
Nine CEO Hugh Marks thanked Lisa for her contribution to the network.
"Today Show is one of the biggest roles there is in television and requires an enormous commitment from its hosts," he said.
"The partnership between Lisa and Karl has taken the show to the success it is today and we thank Lisa for everything she has done for the show and for Nine over the past 10 years. We all wish her well for the future."
According to The Sydney Morning Herald, Lisa is set to appear regularly on The Project, and will also take on a senior editorial role with the 10 Daily mobile platform. We can't wait to see what the talented star does next.
