The couple, who have been friends for several years, surprised fans after they embarked upon a whirlwind relationship just weeks after Cyrus and girlfriend Kaitlynn Carter split after two months together.
Are you managing to keep up?
After plastering their recent adventures across social media - we're talking everything from kissing over açaí bowls to getting matching tattoos - the pair sparked online backlash. In defence of their relationship, Cyrus penned a powerful statement on Instagram Stories.
"Men (especially successful ones) are rarely slut shamed," she wrote. "They move on from one beautiful young woman to the next most times without consequence. Where women are called sluts/whores! I am trying to just thrive/survive in a 'man's world'."
In fact, the couple's relationship has been growing for several years.
Back in December 2015 for instance, Simpson opened up about the singer in an interview with GQ Australia: "Miley is one of my best friends and she helps with some of that transitional stuff - trying to escape your childhood. She's super open-minded and I'm working on becoming more like that."
Fast-forward seven years and the singer is enjoying their newfound romance, as the 22-year-old recently revealed that the couple are "very, very happy".
But it seems Hemsworth has also moved on after his eight-month-long marriage to Cyrus broke down in August.
The 29-year-old was recently spotted kissing actress Maddison Brown during a date in the Big Apple.
Phew! We need a breather after all of that.
