It sounds like the start of a Woody Allen rom-com, but it's true. Model Lara Worthington has revealed Central Park was the fateful spot where she first laid eyes upon her husband, Sam Worthington.
The model was visiting the iconic New York location on official work duties, while Worthington was with friends at the time.
“We were both at a festival in Central Park in New York,” she told radio hosts Kyle and Jackie O on their KIIS FM show.
"I was there for a Cotton On event, and he was there with a few of his friends...he was with Butler. What's his first name? Gerard Butler.
"Yeah, we met in Central Park."
According to Worthington, the pair clicked right away.
"I remember I had a house here in Sydney in the Eastern Suburbs, and my mum was over helping me clean… I said 'Mum, I'm going to get married' and she said 'What? You've just met the guy," she joked
The mother-of-two also explained how she and the Avatar star settled on the names of their children, Racer and Rocket Zot, reports News Corp.
“I don’t know, I just love Racer, I just thought it was a really cool name and Sam liked it too,” she said.
“There was loads of names. I loved the name Jet but I couldn’t really have a Rocket and a Jet.
“We didn’t know it was going to be a boy. Well the first time we didn’t (find out) and the second time... there’s not many surprises so I thought let’s just keep it a secret.”
She added: “They’re both happy and healthy babies — they’re really good boys.”
Racer is now six-months-old, while Rocket Zot was born in March, 2015.
Since touching down in Sydney on Thursday, the model’s busy schedule has included a visit to the factory where her bronzing and tanning line The Base is produced.
Worthington shared a snap on Instagram showing her testing products and swapping high fashion for a high-vis vest and hairnet.
