The mum-of-three has been target by trolls after photos of her five-year-old daughter Penelope with a new pink hair colour surfaced on The Daily Mail.
While the colour was likely achieved with hair chalk or hairspray - like most of us played with as children for parties and activites like "crazy hair day" at school - there is of course the possibility that Kourtney allowed Penelope to actually dye her hair. As such, mum-shamers quickly flocked to social media to condemn the star.
"Kourtney let your kid be a kid..shame on u," wrote one person, seeming to forget that part of the fun of being a kid is experimenting with fun and unique styles.
"I really hope that is fake hair dye on that little girl," someone commented, with others echoing the same sentiment. Some even claimed it was "irresponsible" parenting.
By all accounts, Kourtney seems to be a wonderful parent and we doubt she would have put her child at any kind of health risk for the sake of purple hair.
Hopefully we can leave the criticism of celebrity mothers at the door in 2018.
